Nearly $1.2 million in grants assist legal services fight opioid scenarios

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A overall of almost $1.2 million in grant funding has been awarded from the federal Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Detailed Opioid and Stimulant Substance Abuse System (COSSAP) to Kentucky entities to implement a collaborative venture generating pathways to restoration and healing for individuals that have been negatively impacted by opioids, stimulants and material abuse.

The participating courses contain the Appalachian Exploration and Defense Fund of Kentucky (AppalReD), Kentucky Legal Aid, Lawful Aid of the Bluegrass and Authorized Aid Modern society.
